Η Samsung Ανακοίνωσε το Galaxy S III Mini πριν λίγο. Αν και η συσκευή φέρει το όνομα της ναυαρχίδας της εταιρίας , είναι απλά μια ανταγωνιστική μικρότερη συσκευή, μεσαίας κατηγορίας. Η συσκευή έχει 4 ίντσες οθόνη Super AMOLED ανάλυσης 800×480, και φοράει επεξεργαστή διπύρηνο στο 1GHz. Επίσης θα έχει 1GB RAM, θύρα microSD, NFC, Απέχει αρκετά δηλαδή από τον μεγάλο του αδερφό.
Η κάμερα και αυτή έπεσε, από 8ΜΡ που είναι του Galaxy S III στα 5ΜΡ, ικανή να τραβήξει βίντεο 720p, ενώ η μπροστινή κάμερα περιορίζεται σε ανάλυση VGA. Έκπληξη αποτελεί η έλλειψη υποστήριξης LTE. Το καλύτερο χαρακτηριστικό της συσκευής είναι το ότι έρχεται με Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, πράγμα το οποίο θεωρείται δεδομένο πλέον για νέες συσκευές. Το βαρος της συσκευής είναι 111.5 γρ.
Είναι περίεργο να βλέπουμε την εταιρία να υποβιβάζει το όνομα της ναυαρχίδας της, σε μια αρκετά κατώτερη συσκευή, μεσαίας κατηγορίας. Γενικά τα μόνα κοινά που έχει με το Galaxy S III είναι το όνομα και η εμφάνιση του.
